Livefirm is proud to have contributed to the Alexandra Park development, undertaking essential carpentry tasks for Building A. Our responsibilities spanned the base build, building envelope, and fitout, focusing on framing with timber, steel studs, H3 plywood, GIB weatherline, Revealshield wrap, villaboard, and RAB. This building features three levels of townhouses and a communal podium, showcasing modern urban living.

The project faced significant challenges, particularly due to defects left by previous subcontractors. Each defect was meticulously recorded with before and after photos, ensuring comprehensive documentation for claims and council inspections. The re-work required was more complex than new construction, necessitating innovative strategies for managing materials and resources to align with the main contractor’s schedule. Additionally, the project was executed during the COVID-19 pandemic, causing labour shortages and material delays.

Despite numerous constraints, including the COVID-19 environment, labour shortages, and material delays, the project was completed without delays to other subcontractors. We maintained stringent QA procedures to ensure the quality of finishing, demonstrating our commitment to delivering a high-quality project on time. Alexandra Park stands as a testament to our ability to overcome challenges and deliver excellence.
